Angela has never lived at home. Born with genetic nephrotic syndrome in 2016, she’s spent her first year living in the hospital and then at our Ronald McDonald House. Angela is awaiting a kidney transplant; meanwhile, RMH staff, volunteers, and four-legged, furry (stuffed and real) friends have had a front row seat watching this rambunctious, sweet, giggly, little girl grow up.
Angela can often be seen sporting a fashionable pint-sized dialysis back pack that is the only sign of her disease. Sometimes, she models RMH aprons and Sport a Shirts. Angela has brought laughter and joy to those who meet her, and, she even tried “working” a few shifts in our Reception Area!
At 190 days and counting, Angela is still waiting. While she waits, our House is here for her and her family just as it has been for other families who never expected to need us.
You allow us to keep families close when it matters the most. Thank you for your difference-making support.
